These were clip on wheel weights. They were water dropped but the process of PC'ing pretty much removes any hardness gained by water dropping. I have tested them for BHN but don't remember what they...

He walked up on me right after I filled the feeder. Kimber Gold Match in 460 Rowland. Went in his snout and came out next to his spine behind his rib cage.

I have both. See no benefit to the trough.

Adding Tin will help with mold fill out but I will bet you don't see any increase in hardness. Read this http://www.lasc.us/HeatTreat.htm. As I stated before, make sure the bullet is not being...

Hey Tony. There is a lot of good advice up above. I'm going to list some things that I suggest, having had the same problem as you. My lead runs 10-11 BHN after casting and water dropping. It...

Shooting my own loads. 200 grain Speer Gold Dot hollow points over 15.1 grains AA#7 for 1400 fps. I like the Rowland conversion. Very accurate and flat shooting. I think it has less recoil than...

I was out this past weekend to weed wack my shooting lanes. Spent 2 hours with the weed wacker and a brush blade. Then proceeded to put corn in one of my tube feeders. When I finished filling it...

I'm shooting the Lee 311-155, sized 309, with gas check at 1900 fps, PC'd, without leading and holds sub MOA at 100 yards (300 blackout). This is BHN of about 10-11. I don't alloy any of my lead. ...

I've seen the same issue with 9mm. I found that just slowing them down solved my problem with leading. If they are being used for plinking there is no need to push the fast. My lead runs around 10...
I've been using Permatex Hi Temp anti-seize since I started casting. Has always worked great.

I shoot 220 cast suppressed in a 300 blackout. Head shots. I haven't had one get up yet. I have feeders set out 65-85 yards in 3 shooting lanes from my ground blind. If I had to do body shots I...

If they are flush that's likely a sign of something wrong. I loaded a BUNCH of 9mm once. I forgot to change the primer seating stem from the large to the small when changing over from 45acp. I had...

Stay strong in your faith. Prayers for you and your family.
I shoot lead through my can. Never a trace in it. Shooting 220 grain Leatherheads, PC'd.
For the price I couldn't pass it up. Certainly didn't need another pistol. I've got a PSA within 3 miles of my house. Need to see if I can claim them as a dependent on my taxes. I've been...
There are plenty of ballistics programs out there that will do that for you.

What GRMPS said is my findings also. I water drop the cast and get a good gain in hardness. After PC'ing, most of that gain goes away.

I'm using Hitek coated 220's in my 300 SBR and they work great.
