Usually, yes. The guys that wet tumble and sonic clean prefer to do so without the spent primer still in place.

The serial number is 23890. The 2 isn't very clear, but I'm pretty sure that it is a 2. Thanks for any help.

I have that hot plate for preheating my molds and ingots. I had some ingots on there one day with the temp too high, they melted.

I have a Gravely 260 and a Gravely walk behind. Both are excellent. The walk behinds are commercial grade and can be had for cheaper. I'm not talking about a push mower, but the kind that you ride on...

Check out the Gravely HD models. They're built much better than the homeowner models, but still about half price of the full commercial units. How much property are you mowing?

Nice pic^^^ I seated some of these to 1.17" last night, and that will seat them to the very top of the top driving band.

Thanks for that! I think I'm gonna try that power pistol data, since I have a pound of it laying around.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Awesome! I have a few books now, but not that one. It looks like it would be a good one to pick up. I know how to do a plunk test, but I wanna produce a load that should work well in multiple...
Forum: Cast Boolits
I saw in another forum, where someone said that the Lyman 4th casting book shows this particular boolit to have a seating depth of 1.170". Can anyone confirm this for me?
Forum: Cast Boolits
These are seated at 1.210", and I wanna produce something that will feed is most 45's.
Forum: Cast Boolits
I know that several of you guys use this boolit, so how deep are you seating them? Thanks for any input!162374

The auto drum is Lee's newest powder measure. There are several folks saying it's their best measure thus far.

After keeping up with this thread, I think I'll ask the wifey for a loadmaster this next Christmas. I hope they are shipping them with the auto drum by then.
My most accurate plinker in my gp100 is 5.2gr Unique over 130gr RF Accurate in 357 casings. They are 38spl velocities. I don't shoot 38spl casings in that pistol anymore, because of the carbon ring...

22plinkster on YouTube did a favorable review on this gun. He's had one for over 8mos now. He says it's very accurate.

$409 is the msrp. Saw 1 at my LGS the other day for $379. They are priced right.

I started with .010" and they were too thin, and wouldn't stay on at all. I moved up to .012" and they're better. Not perfect, but better. I just went through the same exact ordeal with my .44...

I never tried .006". I don't know anyone that uses or sells .006"
Forum: Gas Checks
I'm sitting at my bench right now and just re-measured my boolits and gas checks. My Lee boolits also have a .214" shank, and my copper gas checks are .012" thick. Mine seem to always stay on, and do...

I like 10.0gr of Unique with a 247gr gc boolit. I shoot lots of em in pistol and rifle both.
