thought i would chime in here and give an update to the Hatch/Wyman automated Master Caster

as seen in post #1 of this thread Hatch automated my version of the air assisted Master...

i get 720/hr and has Hatch says, one can "multi-task"....i lube and size at the same time....

never got the email....sorry...:(

i am still subscribing to the original Hatch automated MC....keep it simple i say...LOL...

i rather enjoy being out in my Cave (reloading room) tending to the MC busy purring away making about 720...

i run my Hatch/Wyman MC at 725F and the cycle is about 10 seconds...pour, 2sec hold, drop and hold for about 4 and return....the fan is wide open...never had your problem...my sprue plates...

it may be a couple of weeks before the Moose Mould 516375 shows and the .514 expander arrived yesterday....made a "dummy' copper bullet in .516 today at work...will full length size, expand the neck...

4.5" sounds about right....you just want to adjust so the arm gets a full stroke up and down...may need some fiddling....i can measure for sure when i get home...

did some more measuring and figuring....i know, dangerous...LOL

first, slugged my barrel....measured .5140-.5145"...NOT .510" as advertised

my CH4D neck expander measured as...

now, that's my idea of a big lube bullet......

not so much worried about the bullet "backing out" but rather the bullet being pushed further into the case while the rounds are in the mag tube....

don't have a clue Howard....depends on your actual compressor output in CFM and the number of strokes of your sizer cylinder per minute....
