My experience with the Auto-Drum has been positive. Compared to the Pro Auto Disk, it is more accurate and leaks much less.

I just got back from the range where I tested 22 TCM with Longshot. Not anywhere near as fast as Red Dot, but more of a standard pistol powder compared to W296/H110. Someone had tried it on the...
Red Dot might be too fast of a powder to cycle the gun. I think most folks who are reloading 22 TCM are using H110/W296, Lil Gun, 300 MP or something in a similar burn rate.

Received it today. Below is the picture from the box:

It ships with the small drum already installed. Two adjustment keys are included, one for each drum. Nothing really to put...

Just ordered it from Titan Reloading ($35), now in stock. Could not resist, looked too interesting - two infinitely adjustable drums included (large/small) for charges ranging from 1-80 grains. ...

Forgot to mention that it is a relatively dense powder when compared to American Select or AA #2. Gotta watch for double-charges when loading.

For 9mm, I like CFE Pistol better than Longshot so far. Burns much cleaner than Longshot when loaded at the light end. It meters as well as Accurate Arms #2 but because the powder isn't as...
Below is an excerpt from another member (JDouglas) on his 22 TCM load tests:
The two bullets used are the Remington 45 grain flat based hollow point .218 BEE bullet and the Winchester 45 grain FMJ...
I`d be very interested in your results. I`ve loaded up to 10 grains of H110 using the original Armscor bullets, but I don`t have any other suitable alternative powders on handto try out (ran out of...

I had a similar problem and thought at first that the temperature was too high. Turned out it was because I had applied the coating to bullets that had already been sized. This smoothed and sealed...

A quick follow up: Several weeks ago I tried the Hi-Tek coating and ran into some problems with it flaking off. Hi-Tek thought it might have been because I used bullets that had been pre-sized,...
My results are a bit different than what I've seen on the forums so far:
9.8 grains: Cycled reliably, brass ejected about 4-6 ft away - big fireball
10.1 grains: Cycled reliably, brass ejected...
Received my Hornady die set last week from Ammo Supply Warehouse. Lee has a rifle charging die but it is too long - someone on another forum had a picture of the Lee TCM dies that showed the 45ACP...
Received my dies from Ammo Supply Warehouse this week. This is the set-up on my Lee Turret Press:

The Hornady 3-die set includes a sizer/decapper, neck sizer/mouth flarer, and a bullet...
Ammo Supply Warehouse just received a stock of Hornady dies for the 22 TCM (3-die set), in case anyone is interested. About $99 for the set. Looks like they received 250 of them, but down to about...
The dies came in last night on the Ammo Supply website. Ordered a set, looks like there were 250 sets in total

Got lucky, the caster does not use release agents and will provide unsized/unlubed. Now just got to wait for them to arrive and try again. Also confirmed that the caster that Gunoil recommended...

Is there any way to "wash" off these release agents? Just asking cause I have some already coming in and didn't know I needed to ask supplier about this.

Thanks for clarification - I am planning to reload. Hoping to get some of the Hornady dies from Ammo Supply Warehouse in Sept. Lots of bullets now available, only other issues are finding some...

Leadman/Hi-Tek,
Thanks - it makes sense, great information. Hope this helps others looking to use Hi-Tek but not yet casting their own bullets. It should be relatively simple for me to source...

I'm definitely interested if this will case-activate with a Lee Pro-Auto Disk!

Been waiting for the Hornady dies to arrive at Ammo Supply Warehouse, and just happened to see this thread while looking for an update over on the Hi-Tek...

When you apply the GC with the large sizer, are you also sizing the bullet? If so, it seems that the coating is still sticking fine in your case.

How about this: my Lee bullet sizing die on order for your magma star, straight trade. Deal?:drinks:
