.22-250 is a great cast bullet cartridge!

I wonder if it was the .43/77 UMC. I read that it used a .454" bullet, which is actually .45 caliber. Same cartridge as the .43 Spanish.

Condor Hudson Bay. And if I can also have a folder, a large Douk-Douk.

I get where you're coming from. If you don't want a break action, how about an old Remington Rolling Block? IMO that would be a great choice.
Or, a Savage bolt action. Some of them are pretty cheap,...

I would probably use an H&R single shot action. Easy to find, inexpensive, and they work well.

I'm a big fan of those too, and have owned several. The one I have now is the last iteration in .30-30 over 12 gauge, with a screw-in choke tube.

I've been listening to Bob Seger quite a bit while reloading. Occasionally some Kansas or King Crimson. I like a pretty wide variety of music, but some just works better than others as background...

Subbed your channel. I have an H&R .22 Hornet too, but got mine specifically for shooting cast.
2" medium frame .357s have always been rare. As for the 2-3/4" Ruger Six series, they may not be common in OK but they're not hard to find overall. I've had a couple of them and really like them a...

I read the link and it says: "Heat the solution to 600C to completely dissolve the solids." That's 1112 degrees F! That's almost hot enough to melt aluminum.

Don't discount the Rossi 92. It's no problem to put a peep sight on it (preferably the traditional side mount such as the Williams 5d and FP), and its rifling is more suitable for cast bullets.

When I bought my Harbor Freight mini lathe several years ago I already had a Grizzly 9x19 lathe. I can't imagine being without the mini now; I use it far more than the 9x19. I think any serious...

Sounds like a great project! Good idea, using 9mm brass. I've picked up 9mm brass until I got tired of it. A round ball for 9mm only weighs about 70 grains, so that's pretty cheap shooting even if I...

I thought about this when .22 ammo was hard to find and expensive. My solution? .38 Special with a light cast bullet, or even a round ball (~70 grains). Another good choice is .32 S&W Long. I think a...

Larry, I would also be interested in seeing the information about venting the gas tube.
Learn something every day. I stand corrected on the .450 brass.
Starline still makes it, although they are out of stock right now. But both of those are pretty good rounds to have because you can make .480 from .45/70 brass, and 450 Marlin from any number of...
It should handle 70 grain bullets without issue, especially fairly blunt ones like the Speer. My 16 twist H&R .22 Hornet handles 55 grain bullets and boolits.

We almost never go to McD, BK, Hardee's and those kind of places. For burgers out our go-to is Five Guys.
We also don't buy beef at Walmart. We used to, but noticed the quality really dropping...

I have two steel scuba tanks: one I bought used at the local dive shop, and a high pressure Faber that I bought online. I cascade them: bulk fill with the standard tank, then top off with the Faber....

Blue Dot used to be my go-to powder for jacketed bullet .357 Mag. Specifically, 140 grain jhp using the top load listed in Speer No. 11.
