Blue Dot for reduced rifle loads. 2TU.

The M96 has a 7.87 inch twist. It's throated for the 156 round nose.
It will handle most any 6.5mm weight bullet. I have worked up good loads for bullets
as light at 100 grains with good...

velocity 1480 fps in Ruger PC Carbine 16 in. barrel

I chose 9mm Luger. Today's bullet designs and factory ammunition choices make the 9mm Luger a very capable carbine round inside of 100 yards. Proper handloading can increase this range a bit.

I chronographed some loads today in the PC Carbine.
All loads were with AA #7 with the 115 grain Hornady HAP bullet.
The OAL for this loading was 1.100

8.2 grains 1420 fps
8.3 grains 1451...

I get nervous if my Blue Dot stash goes below 5 pounds.

It is the most versatile gunpowder I've found. I like to
keep it around for a SHTF propellant if needed.

I've loaded these cartridges...

Faster powders, like those usually used in 9mm Luger factory
loadings produce very modest increase in velocity in carbine
length barrels. Maybe 100 fps or so.

I just bought a Ruger PC Carbine...

I can load anything I have from 9mm to 44 mag to 223 to 30-06
to 45-70 and everything in between and have done it.
And produce very accurate and powerful enough loadings
producing 80%...

Get a 308 Win and load it down to 7.62x39 velocity levels.
Never seen one that wouldn't shoot cast well.
