Lead Fred,
I would go the custom mold route but I have two mausers with very different chambers. I have always wanted to try paper patching though.
Thanks Hardcast, I will look into that mold as well
Wow, that is really good for a 45/70. That's what I was hoping to find for the 8mm is something close to .5
I figured I would buy the 325365 mold from NOE and shave the grease grooves out of the...
GVM,
Thank you, I did in fact put my name on the list. That makes a total of 5 people that want the same mold. I don't know how how many people it takes for them to run the mold, hopefully not too...
Right now I am using the Lee C324-175-R that I size to 324 for both of my mausers. I shouldn't say that they don't shoot well, they are fine out to about 200-250 yards then my group really opens up....
It looks like I am going to have a hard time finding the either one of those molds. I have a lee 324-175-R that my Lebel loves but both of my mausers not so much.
Thank you Ben,
Looks pretty close to what I am looking for. Machine the grease bands out of it, powder coat um an give them a shot! I am curious if anyone has any experience with this boolit in a...
I am looking for a 8mm 170-220 grain cast boolit /mold that has a high Ballistic coefficient. Does anyone have any suggestions ??

I know this post is quite a few years old but I have been reloading for my Berth for years. I have had really good results using the same cast bullets that I use for my Mausers. its a 175 gr round...
Yes it does have the M-4 ramps! Probably should of mentioned that in my og post. After talking to a very helpful member on here it turns out I had my OAL all messed up! way too long. so I am going to...
JonB, I have never heard or seen this mold you are talking about, but it does sound like it would fit my needs perfectly. Do you know a website where I can get more info on them?
Thanks
Czech too, That is one of the reasons I want to put a point on the bator bullet is to get a heavier bullet. I would be happy if it ended up somewhere between 65-75 grains. I have the tools and...
I do reload for the 25 Acp. but I do not use cast Boolits, I use Sierra 50gr fmj and 35gr. Gold dots. The pistol I have is an old German Ortgies. It is an interesting pistol as it does not have one...
I recently bought a Lee 22 Bator mold planning on using it for one of my AR-15 carbines. After many attempts at polishing the feed ramps on my rifle to chucking the boolits in my lathe and attempting...
