I use factory cast .311 projectiles in my 2 groove and theywork fine. I haven't tried any other sizes so I can't comment.
I load mine out so the projectile engraves the rifling.

Funny you say that. I have tried .314" cast projectiles too and they were sprayed all over the target. For this rifle .311" works fine.
From my experiance I would much rather have a 2 groove barrel...
