How do I remove the lock in a 460 S&W

I bought a 460 the other day and of course, it has the lock.
I haven't ever removed one and thought I'd ask before I take the plate off.
    Anyone done it?

I tested it yesterday with Buffalo Bore 255 grain ammo (I haven't decided what Boolits to use yet).

Accuracy is great. Recoil isn't bad. About like my 44's.

The ejection pattern is erratic but...

How did you do it? I've been at it for over 6 hours total. It takes 20 seconds or so to install the 20# but I've tried every technique known to man and that 24 pounder just won't go in.

I found the part and installed the 20# spring. I'm calling Wolf tomorrow because the 24# has to be the wrong spring. It simply can't be installed.

460 Rowland Kit is driving me nuts

    Locating front post hole

I have a couple of H&R Ultra Slug guns.
One has been rechambered for 3.5 (12ga) and I ran across a peep sight for it several years ago.

The peep fits the scope mount holes so that's done.

If you're serious, I'll be happy to. They show up in half the junk boxes at the Richmond Shows.
What doesn't show up are the smooth grips and when they do, they are spendy.
