I would opt for the largest diameter thread, and then make bushings to adapt for smaller diameter. That way you can use anybody's dies with the correct bushing.

that is great. Where do you buy the copper strip an how much is a 50# roll?
Ed, thanks for the response.
Buying them at about $150 is a little steep for single use. I found I can rent one at 4D Reamer Rentals for $35. I will probably use it on my Mossberg 500 slug gun...
I have 2 NEF Ultra slug barrels that I need bored out for the 3.85" brass cases. Does someone rent a reamer? How or where do you guys get that work done? Also, what is the best source for 3.5" 12...

Since you have a commercial business and a high volume of work, it sounds like you made a good purchase and it is working out well.
In Texas they have an old saying, "Some cowboys are always...

Zbench,
Dragon813qt was responding to YOUR offer when you said:
"Chuckbuster please post the UCT in action on Hornady bullet 50101 or anyone else please."

I won an auction from a person in the same city. He offered a cheaper price if I completed the purchase off ebay. I declined, and payed through ebay. He sent me a bogus tracking number, but never...

I use a 7mm TCU expander ball (about .276) and I wish it was a little larger. It still leaves a little ripple where the shoulder ended. The point forming die mostly irons it out.

I don't think swaging solid copper or brass makes much sense. You could get a lathe with a collet for work holding and a "box" tool with a custom cutting head. The "box" tool is made for machining...

Everyone is always saying they get almost free 5.7 brass. I am never lucky enough to find such a deal. I am always in the market if anyone has another 5 gallon bucket-o-brass sitting around.
I...

5.7 brass is definitely the way to go for 30 cal. My price on brass drops from $80 to $15 per 1000 if I use 9mm brass, but my resize time goes up by 4X. I will pay the extra cost for 5.7 brass. It...

I here this over and over here. "You can't save money swaging bullets"
I disagree.
For 130 gr 308 bullets. New cup and core bullets $230 - $270 per thousand
(I did not price military surplus...

If the price is competitive, I will definitely give him a try. The more supply, the better the price. Good for consumers, like me

I agree entirely on the punches. I need to find someone who can make 3 for me.

Well my special order Lee sizing dies have arrived. They are indeed "file hard". For my final size die for my for 308 jackets I ordered the die .302. After the initial bell on the mouth of the...

Nice job!! The design is really great having one die and several bushings. This seems it will save a lot of time and material when making multiple dies, plus it seems it will be easy to heat treat...

I really appreciate you sharing all this information. I have a couple lathes, but have not got them set up and running yet. Your success is very inspirational. I have a nice set of...

you can order a Lee sizing die any size you like for $38 off the factory web site. I would order one .352 for the final size for making 358 bullets. you can do it in 2 steps on a reloading press. ...

Lead Chucker,
What is your cost per jacket using tubing?

Jon, I had the same concerns about Lee dies. I called the factory, and they assured me the steel was " file hard". We shall see. I will post after I give the Lee die a workout.
I am with you...

I have dies from Dave and Richard. The quality of both are top notch. I like Richard's press and die design because they are considerably more substantial than Dave's (Dave's are 5/8" and Richard's...

I have draw dies from RCE, I tried Brass2Bullets, and I have Lee dies on order. I believe B2B dies are probably Lee dies. You can get Lee bullet standard sizing dies for 30 dollars each, or 38...

I plan on using 5.7 brass mostly for my 30 cal bullets anyway. I use the 9mm brass mostly for 9mm bullets. It is good to know you can use 9mm for 30 cal if needed, especially since it is so cheap...
