I have 3 of the Burris FF's, one on a 10' Contender, .357: one on a 1911, .460 Rowland conversion and one on a Ruger Bisley, NMBH, .45 Colt. I've grown fond of them on my hunting pistols.

wendyi, if it's a Vaquero it has a transfer bar, as veeman stated, 'All Vaqueros have transfer bars, they were never made without them'. Also 'old model' Vaquero is a misnomer. The 1st model Vaqueros...

You do your part and a cast bullet will do its.

Lyman 4th has a lot of .32-20 data as well as different powders. I load my old 1905 HE, 2nd with 5744/115 cast.
They were fairly common....

Besides, Dick, Lee Martin (Single-Actions) reports the same, a slight increase.:)
I'd suggest an article by Brian Pearce in HANDLOADER #246. In it he loads 3 differant .45 colts loads, 14,000psi; 20,000psi; and 32,000psi. Loads were developed in a 5.5" Ruger ss Bisley using the...

Mine is 10.0grs/255gr out of a 5.5" Bisley model, ss, convertible and it consistantly runs 1150 for 5-shot average.

Dick, while you're out gunning for 'chucks' check the rivers and creeks for clearity. I'm in bad need of a fly fishing trip.........

Congrats!! Still waiting on our 'gun' season to open.

Nothing wrong with that one. Congrats!
Let me use that on those ground squirrels, Dick. We'd sure find out if it'd miss or not.
There's an old saying, "it ain't the gun, but the man behind it". Think it truely fits here.

Congrats! Called in my first one in 1965 using an old OLT's closed reed call. Still enjoy foolin' them. You can also call using the back of your hand or just pucker up and 'smooch'.

Nope. Mailed a friend 50 of MiHec's 270-SAA-HP to try last Friday. He got them Sat.

Nice one! I picked up one that had been converted to .357mag and the chamber had been 'bulged' with too hot a load. The price was right, just haven't got around to having the chamber shorten and...
Nice catch, but be warned, they're habit forming! Accurate molds makes a nice brass , 4-holer that throws a dandy 100gr Keith style or Lyman's 2-banger 311008. I cast and use both.
