If need be that Lee .309" sizer can be opened to .310" easy enough. I also think you can order a .310" direct from Lee but not sure about this.
Good Luck,
Rick

Save yourself a lot of trouble and don't worry about slugging the bore. Wasted time. The Lee bullet is a good suggestion. I have an older Rossi 38/357 carbine and it shoots this bullet well. I size...

I didn't read it all but that is wonderful advice for successful shotgunning. So many folks try to aim a shotgun like you would a rifle. Not very successful that way.
Take care,

The Accuratemolds 31-180R is a bullet I designed for Marlin 30-30 microgroove rifles. It shoots very well. Order it with .311" diameter and .300" nose. It shoots quite well and it's not shabby in a...
I don't think a piece of paper will add any protection but a small piece of shim stock should make it much less likely.

Ed Harris' article is worth a re-read from time to time. I believe he adresses alloy as well. Although Red Dot is an excellent powder for such use it is not the only powder which can be used. Unique,...

What cartridge? Why go to all the trouble and headache of casting a soft point. For the pressures you will be running most likely a good 20:1 alloy should work well.

I don't have experience with that sight but I do have experience with a tang sight on a Marlin 36. The downfall is that it hurts the web of your hand between the thumb and hand proper. The heavier...

Hello everyone,
The other day I ran across a stash of Linotype and Monotype I had tucked away. I don't think I will need it and plan to sell it here. I looked through the classifieds to see if...

When the bullets start getting frosty it means the mold is too hot. Slow down and let the mold cool. No need to cool the melt in this situation.
Get an immersion thermometer. Start with your melt at...

I had a bypass surgery on September 2, 2020. I stopped smoking the same morning at 5:30. It was better than loosing my leg and my leg was completely clogged. They took the vessel out of my right arm....

Many misconceptions about shotgun barrel length and handling. I know it's hard to believe but longer barrels are faster than shorter barrels. I shoot Sporting Clays and am a Master Class shooter. I...

Low brass or High brass means nothing today. Dram equivalent only refers to velocity. Lower velocity ammo uses a faster powder so it ignites properly. The pressure is still up there. I doubt you can...
The Lyman "M" die works quite well. The Lee will flair the mouth but does nothing to expand the neck of the case. You need a very minimal flair to allow the bullet to enter the case. The Lee collet...

I'll take the box of Federal brass. PM for payment arrangements on the way.

I'll also add: You would do better to size your bullets through a Lee or other push through die and apply the lube through a lubesizer die which is .001" or so larger than your finished bullet...

Fit is King. It's not velocity which is the cause for leading and gas cutting, it's pressure. Good reading from the Las Angeles Silhouette club can be very educational. The link should be found at...

If you're going to use a binary alloy the 20:1 is what I would use. A gas check bullet would really help also. I have a mold from Tom at Accuratemolds.com which weighs approximately 365 grains. It is...

If a bullet will chamber it's not too big. I would try a softer alloy with about 12 grains of Unique. That load works well in my 4 45-70's which includes 2 Marlins.
Good luck,

Be careful when mounting. Ham fisted will get you ring marks.
