I carry my 16.5 Henry and a 4 5/8s bhawk in the bottom about every time I go. My 6 gun has a peep sight one it.
I agree with you for Paco. Ed Matinus? a ballisticion for Winchester.use to be. said 800x was the single best powder for .41 and normal bullets. Now a days I normally shoot about 230 or so. Over...
hmmmm? used a numbers of pounds of it for a while as my only powder I also did herco that way for a bit. Up to say 230gr or so I never had a problem but never used it in really cold temps. I...
800 x can work well with 170 (see Paco)
works well with all weights up to about 230 or less
but still many may not know that -- and it is really still a +P+ +---all I have is a Model 28 so no problem
nice loads but not really saami spec .38+ ---I would not let them near a .38
unless i am missing something
seems that in long run that load would be hard on a 1911.. Interesting
remember there is no free lunch -- only so much room in a hull- change pressure curves etc -- still that is a high pressure load for a .38 and close in fps to some .357 as was pointed out-- and yes i...
my 16.5' was 660$... and i thought it was high.. still really like mine.
thanks for the info on the stocks Rodfac
in the 70's when i started reloading-- my rule was do not use a powder that can be double charged-- for me it is still a good rule
for what ever ti is worth i use one of the heavy H110 loads with a 220KT hp . Have not clocked it yet but will -- the fired hulls drop easily from my 6.5" blackhawk
that is wicked wicked boolit-- since much of the wound is determined by meplat size that would be a really hard hitting bullet. It might on larger animals-- what ever that is-- be penetration limited.
I size my NOE keith to .410 and seat them as deep as I can and stay in the crimp groove. with clean chambers this has worked, and ensuring it is seated straight

I have been a first responder-- and as you look all this- here is what we are taught as to heart attacks. A human has 6-8 minutes of air in his body which is why CPR can work for a while. Deer too...
GT bullets has a listed 220 hp-- all of mine have been 215-- any way PCd at .359 and accuracy as been good -- deer season started, and I stopped working on it until spring. but are good well made...

I got mine as idea from Ross Sayfried? anyway it is easy to do and have killed deer with them. any mold can used--have 255 MM lwn-- and it makes great 257gr flat soft points for my .410 GNR...
A load I have been shooting out of my 16.5" Henry... 19.5 grains of VN110--cci 350 runs 1720 with a 212 Mp cast bullet.._ messed with a HP pin and made a cup point out of it-- took a 2 year old (...
