I like the way you think! the GP in .44 spl would be even better.
i'll also add an adjustable sight bisley single six chambered in .327 offered with a 6.5" and 5.5" barrel. hell....... i'd...
David Clements does a 5-shot conversion using the factor barrel for the .45 Colt.

I'm not picky, i just like them to have a heart beat.
i believe 10 yrs ago, ruger was using the wood grips on their RH's. why not try locating a set and install them on this revolver? It sounds as if they were comfortable for you then.
i personally...
i have never seen a 2/10'ths variance with my thrown h-110 loads. that powder throws extremely consistent for me............. which is one reason i enjoy using it. HS-6 seems to throw equally well....
Billy, be aware that FA frowns upon shooting 45Colt in their 454 cylinders. Has to do with tolerances and blah blah blah......I'm not going to argue whether they are right or wrong, nor am i going...
Billy, I like your thoughts here....... love the .45 Colt cylinder idea on the mdl 83. I'd personally go with a 4-3/4" or 6" barrel though.
I'm not sure where the comments about the 45 Colt...

I just thought of another source of reloading info,
Brian Pearce did an article in the August 2005 issue #236 of Handloader magazine. there is some load data for a ~300 gr SWC style bullet using...

congrats on finding your gun.
i'm getting pretty interested in the 32 calibers. don't know why, but it's just a neat little cartridge. I think i'd have to have the Buckey's 32H&R cylinder...

I like the way you think. one of those two cartridges will most likely be my next rifle purchase
i have heard that Ruger will be offering the hawkeye in 9.3x62, however that rumor could be a...
I size all new brass prior to shooting. I'll take a random sample of the brass that i just sized and check the length. Depending on what the sample shows me determines if i trim to lenth the entire...

on a broadside shot............i think that 270 will pass through a deer if its traveling at anything over 950 fps
Brian Pearce listed a 44 special load that used H-110 to push a 300+ gr. keith bullet at ~1050 fps. It was in his group III which contains between 22Kpsi and 25K psi loads. The article was in...
My experience is that Starline does not place a hold or charge your credit card until the item is shipped.
I had placed an order for some 32 H&R brass that was on backorder. If i recall correctly...
some of the blued vaqueros came with steel ERH's, while others had aluminum ERHs that where coated/anodized. It sounds as if your vaqueros each have aluminum ERHs.
see if a magnet will stick to...
While Ruger initially stamped New Vaqueros as such............believe it or not, but Ruger is now producing New Vaqueros sans the "New" stamped on the side of the frame.............or at the very...
