I'd go with heat and a torx bit and turn it with tap handle if you have one.

4831 is more for 3006 and larger with heavy bullets. not saying it won't work, they'er much better powders more suited for the 308, in an AR platform I'd say no. just my 2 cents worth. your mileage...
