My choice exactly! My dad bought it in 1953 and I have enjoyed it since then. An amazing gun.
I also have its companion, a 1954 Colt 3 5 7. It was my duty weapon for many years.

I tried those Speer bullets in 9mm years ago. If you have the same ones, they are swaged, not cast……very soft! Even using starting loads caused excessive leading. Just be aware, and good luck.
