You both added the same red dot to your guns. I'm in the market for a red dot. Any pass along comments on the install an/or use of the Holosun HS507K X2 ??

Bob,
Just to add some data. My two 686 no dash guns:
Purchased: 2-82 6" s/n AAC85XX and 1-84 8" ACK36XX
They've seen little action in the last 30+ yrs, but look purty in my safe.

Anyone using it? Liking it ? Is it an updated Bullseye replacement?
I thought it was a more modern Bullseye, but more reading seemed it indicate not.
Appreciate hearing about experiences.

This thread was right on target for me. I bought a Smith 986 a year or so back since I grew up on revolvers, and to companion my Shield 9's. I thought that it would allow my now growing arthritic...
Forum: Reloading Equipment
Reloaderfred hit the nail on the head. You resize with the sizing die, then use the expander die to widen the mouth to accept the bullet w/o shaving it. So how could the sizing die narrow the...

Can you supply the "as cast" bullet diameter, to get an idea as to how much you are sizing them down? that would help with wmitty' s comment, above?

Well, how long before we see change of availability of .22's (in either direction, better or worse, dependent upon who wins) ?? What will the new "normal" be?
Thoughts?

I find snubbies are convenient to "keep" in our cars in addition to what we carry (mostly auto's) Easy for the missus to grab and not worry about trying to wrangle back the slides on most of our...

How long have you had your .380 EZ? My better half currently carries a Kahr 9, but is now having problems working that slide. And for your loading for it, you using jacketed. Ever try Cast...

Baltimoreed,
Have you had much concern for your idea with wind blow-over? Any way to add maybe, sandbags over the legs or weights of some kind?

I have a Daisy 707 (about 40 yrs old) and a 717 (about 25 yrs old) both .177 cal. That I have sporadically used to support my indoor tgt practice for a long, long time. The 707 has been serviced by...

I normally use my rock chucker for most of my loading. Tried a Hornady Projecctor, but found it having "issues", including priming. So I only now use it for 2 stations at a time, sizing (skip...

You've got a GREAT source for adjusting your lead mixtures, in those oatey solder. Fix hardness and/or mold fill out with small additions of these, if properly fluxed,

pbcaster45- I've been searching for about a year now to find PAST, all kinds of Google /internet searches with no success. That's why I turned to posting to see if a broader audience might be aware...

Adjust and check your mix?
So why not just adjust your alloy mix (like increase antimony) and use a lead tester and check the hardness increase in the first few out of the pot, even if you need to...

Sprue plate "ripping" out the sprue on casting
One other thing to check is the tightness (or lack there of) of the screw holding the plate flat against the mold. Sometimes loosens up a little...

When I was competing ( along time ago, town police against other town police in the county) I would cast a batch of 5-6 hundred .38's, cull wrinkled, etc. Then use my digital scale to divide the...
Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to try a couple of them. Really don't want to only shoot .22 cal, but will be shooting more of it and less of center fire calibers.

My bi-weekly recreational pistol shooting has really slowed down since I hit 71 last year. Can't seem to tolerate a session of couple of cylinders of .38 S&W aluminum snub nose ( lead 148 gr swc...

Thanks for the ideas. A few seem adaptable to my situation. I guess I should have said in my original post that I am mostly a pistol shooter, so when I prime, it'll be for minimumof 50, and probably...

I REALLY agree with the use of a dolly of some sort.
1. Order one from Harbour Freight. Not very expensive, and work well
2. Dolly or not, split that load in aeveral smaller ones
