I have used fillers before and honestly I didn’t see any difference in the overall accuracy or fps. I drop 25.5 of 2400 a 405gr and let it go.. its easy on shoulder and still will kill anything...

Just have to be EXTRA careful when loading because 25 gr doesn’t take up much case.. if you’re distracted and double charge a case is all over with.. destroyed gun or even death!!

Yeah sad times for the country our own folks in the shooting industry local and big box store price gouging just because they can… primers prices are disgusting �� at best.. i don’t want to open this...

My go to is 25.5gr 2400 Lee 405gr fphb with a cci 200 at 1250fps out of 7.5” BFR shoot less than 1” at 50yds with 2x leupold scope from bench. Same load in Marlin 1895 runs at 1450fps ..

I think some bullets tumble because of the lower velocity and short pistol barrel. Not enough spin on the bullet to stabilize. Over 1250fps in the 7.5 barrel no issues

Still shooting the 45-70 BFR!! Amazing pistol!! I’ve came to the pet load of 25.5 gr 2400 405 gr .459 and CCI 200 no dacron and this pistol will not disappoint!!! 1250fps average velocity zero at 50...

a lot of the reloading books are on the light side on max loads; I'm sure its a liability issue. I retested the W296 21.5 load at 25yds off a solid rest and got about a 1/2" group pretty impressive....

Tested the W296 22.0 gr load with the 310gr bullet and it produced approx. 3 inches at 50yds from both SRH and SBH Hunter.
Looks like the W296 21.5gr load will be the load to run in these guns. I...

Ran the 310gr with gas check today (other loads did not have GC) with 21.5 gr w 296 CCI 300 and it produced 2"@ 50 yds velocity was 1210fps... not bad!!

Also ran 240gr lswc over 24.0 gr of w296...

I'm shooting a Ruger Super Black Hawk Hunter 7.5" barrel.

I ran the 310gr over 17.0gr of 2400 which produced 3-5" @ 50yds.. velocity was 1165 fps..Not impressed... not sure how folks are getting 1300fps out of this bullet and staying in pressure specs with...

Looks like they have listed 17-19 max 2400 for 300 gr JHP, my next test load is 17 gr of 2400. 16.0 2400 out of a SRH produced 1263 fps and 3" @ 50 yds. Looking for about 1"-1.5" at 50yds accuracy...

I been looking around and can't find too much data on the Lee 310gr FPGC 44 Magnum bullet with 2400 powder. I see some loads with W296.H110 at 21.5 and a standard primer that give good accuracy but...

Shot some 405gr lee FPHB .459 with 16.3 gr of unique through my BFR 7.5" and had them tumble at 50yds.. any ideas why. Velocity is 1140fps..

I use the 25.0 gr 2400 and the 405gr load with a cci 300 (dacron fluff) in the 7.5" BFR and it produces 1250 fps avg. recoils isn't bad but you will defiantly know when the hammer falls! ...

I've shot 30gr of 2400 with a 300jhp and its produced 1870 fps from the Marlin and 1550fps from the BFR. Not a bad load at all.

do you know what velocity your getting out of that load? I use dacron (fluff) on all of my 2400 loads for 45-70.. there are some folks that use it and others don't..

25 gr of 2400 405gr badman .459 bullet and a puff of dacron produced 1/2" at 50yds today 35 degrees and chrony 1400fps from my Marlin 1895 ss

My marlin 1895ss 22" barrel produced 1315 fps with a 405 fb bullet with 25 gr 2400 with dacron tuff on top. Shoots very well..

The BFR is probably the funnest and most exciting gun to shoot... It just has such a range of performance that you can do with it if you reload.. From light loads at 1000fps up roaring 405 gr loads...
