I don't cast...for 32-40 I buy 32 spec 170g .321 GC boolits from a caster who uses the RCBS mold (they come out at .3215) and weigh out at 181g w/GC & lube. Yields dime size groups @ 50yds over 21g...

just seat it deeper, I use 32 spec boolits w/30/30 brass for 32-40 , no problem, 2.50 is max OAL by my books...

Managed to get it back home and on the 100yd mark just now.

It's shooting 36" low at 100 with this load (30g H4198 under 350g .459 cast boolit)....

I would not rely on anything other than pulling the rounds, just my opinion...

I'm fine with my standard RCBS 32-40 seating die for crimping real 32-40 brass.

As said, when using formed 30-30 brass, a 30-30 seating die puts a nice roll crimp...
