I still works:bigsmyl2:
I loaded 20 rds last year and still have 18 left.
Without paper patch this rifle would likely spend all its time in the safe.
Thanks again.

I haven't ran into any donuts that I know of. As far as the C.R. I have never used it so I can't say one way or the other. Give it a try and see what happens.

One other thing. Dont be afraid to try small pistol primers.
I would start around 18-19 grs and work up from there. I have gone as high as 23 grs. With sweet spots being 20 and 22.2 grs. Both give about 1.5" groups in the 2400 & 2900 fps respectively,...
The rcbs shoots OK in my 222, the nato mold does better but the saeco #221 is tops in the 55-60 gr. range. I have also been working with 225107 noe mold and have been getting excellent results up to...

Weather finally allowed me to work on this a little bit more. I loaded 10 rounds each of 22.2 gr, 22.5 gr. and 22.8 gr. I shot a five shot group of each and then repeated after temps went up about...

One yes and one 'almost'.
After much study and research I bought an XD-45 a couple of years ago. It lasted about 2 months. It actually was a very good shooting and accurate pistol but there was...

Well, I have never claimed to have the quickest brain in the world but reading the post by BAbore the day after seeing my targets even I couldn't miss it. This is the first time I have really pushed...

Don't have any imr4895 and haven't seen any in over a year. I just got the h version at the first of Sept. I have Varget and 3031 on one side and both aa and imr 4064 on the other. The biggest...

Thanks again.

A friend came across this unfinished receiver. A search seems to indicate it is a Wickliffe. Yes? No?

It appears to be threaded 1" - 20 tpi. No markings at all.
Thanks.

Last week I started working with the 225107 in my .222 rem. Curious as to how fast I could push this little bullet and maintain some degree of accuracy I loaded h4895 @ 19, 20, 21 and 22 grs and WSR...

I have a Rock River that sees nothing but cast and I shoot it a fair amount. I also cast and shoot a 222 rem bolt gun. Other than needing loads that cycle the action on the AR I have found no...

Well, I am not sure a 130 lb. fork horn is the best test bed for this rifle but the results can't be argued with.

The results were impressive to say the least. The shot was all of...

The only rifle I have had consistent high velocity success with is my 222 (rem 788) and that only happened when I started forming cases from 223 and added an extra .015" to the case length. Before...

A topic I constantly trying to get smarter at. It seems to me it almost requires it own sub-forum.
My own high velocity interests pretty much revolve around the 22 calibers. I never...

Another option is to pick a mold and do a search on it. Use '357-180-sil'. That will narrow it down quite a bit.

So, in a recent group buy I ended up with a 311466 that had a gas check shank that was too large to seat 30 cal checks. The problem was taken care of and was told to keep the original mold. One way...

I thought I would add an update regarding my 25-06 that shoots most everything into 2" groups.

I gave 4100 a trial run in my swede a couple of days ago. I put a cruise missile on top of 16.5 grains. Due to rain I didn't set up the chrono but the primers showed no pressure signs. Hopefully...

Could you by chance measure the shank on a boolit if you have one handy? My shanks measure @ .250".
