Forum: Gas Checks
Im very new to this so how exactly am I supposed to crimp or put on the gas check? Am I supposed to crimp them onto the bullets before I seat the bullet or do I need to place them over the case neck...
Just put the paint on my sights, hit each post with around 480 lumens light (30sec each) and it was still visible 7.5hrs later. Good stuff! Much cheaper than trit.
Anyone use a ranch dog for 30.06 or 300wsm. Opinions on how well it performs? possible problems? thankyamuch!
Forum: Boolit Lube !
ok, so I have decided to go with the tumble lube method starting out. Althought I am intrigued by pan lubing I may just have to delve into that at another date. I regards to LLA, what attributes do...

I plan on casting for 300wsm, 30.06, .308, .223. I keep reading about the Lee Lube Alox being thinned down by mineral spirits. For high powered rifles, exactly what kind of bullet lube should I use...

I was just searching for a homeade recipe alternative. I found the following and have not the supplies or equipment to try it...yet. Of course I would look at your casting manual and see what it says...

I have found that 4.1gr Hodgdon titegroup with 119 gr TL bullets work best in my XD, however, it is always best to check ones reloading manual for specifications as such. Best of luck!

Yes tis true. Food for thought, love it.
Christorbust: Little did you know, Ive been wanting some cheap trit alternative for awhile. I figure shooting out the lights at your only range 5hrs away would only help put this experiment of yours...

I believe a friend of mine has a bottom pour potand possible a dipper. I will probably try both and see which seems to be easier for me. So far the majority of people on here prefer bottom pour pots.

The very first rifle I ever killed a deer with is a 30.30. It did the job with no problem. I now hunt with a 30.06 and have been for 10yrs now. I will be the first one to tell you that from...

I am measuring outside to outside with my caliper (mm units of measurement). Being that there is only 1-2 tenths of a mm difference is that not really a huge significance. I would think that being...
You should run a trial involving a 30-60min charge under a nightstand lamp. then take a pic in the dark after 1hr, 2,3,5hrs to track the digression of the paint after hours simulating getting it in...

I have not reloaded anything as of yet. I am kind of doing things in a methodical step by step process to avoid error and hold consistency. So I have not shot anything yet other than the factory ammo...
