Are the 45 mag's still available?

My purpose is not to cause anyone a lack of business. I meant simply that sometimes we send things out to be done when we could do them ourselves. I was a journeyman machinist before retiring so I am...
Not too long ago I sent a Ruger 45 Colt and a 45 ACP cylinders to a member here to open the throats. I'm not sure what he used to do the work but they came back not so good. There were large deep...

I've shot several deer with Miha's 44/444 300 grain HP. Mine is several years old and back then came with only the round HP pins reversible to cast solids. The HP is utterly destructive on white...

bullet measures .3015 from the mold. After patching and sizing they are measuring .310 to .311. I think there is a little spring back or the thicker paper just adds .001 to the compressed diameter....

After they cover me with dirt a few people are gonna be saying " Holy Bat S*** Bat Man, Where do you think he got all this S***?

My idea in writing this has been to display information from a knowledgeable source. We get to many people on here that sometimes feel their opinion should be accepted as gospel even though they...

I bought some paper today that is 25% cotton and it definitely rolls onto the bullet much easier without tearing. It is a little thicker (24#) but it sizes down the same as the other paper. That's...

Thanks wmitty. You answered a question before I could ask it. It was gonna be about what substance to use for a patch lube. I received my mold Saturday and got some cast up. I've been cutting patches...

There has been discussion about the abrasiveness of PC on this forum. I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box so I called the company that I get my powder from. I had a 38 minute conversation with a...

Thanks for the replies. This is pretty much a new adventure for me. I've been interested for a long time in PP and recently decided there is no better time to start than now. I'm doing the pound cast...

Yesterday I ordered the NOE 301 200 and I figure it will be here by mid week. I'm planning to pp this bullet For 30-06 and .308. The 30-06 is an O3A3 that I've had for nearly 60 years. The .308 was...

I'm using NOE 311365. I have been powder coating and gas checking. Mine weigh in at 195 grains when ready to load. I shoot them with 36.0 grains IMR-4895. Has proven to be very accurate and never a...

vmathias .... Where I am in Pa. everyone is born knowing a 45 colt is way under gunned for deer. Our deer are so big and tough that a 45 caliber bullet just bounces off them and don't even scare...

You folks that don't lube before sizing must all be using the Lee dies that have a very small contact spot with the bullet. I'm sizing with a Lyman 450 and I guarantee they sometimes stick without...

I've tried several products to lube my PC'ed bullets with prior to sizing. The product I have had the best success with is Lanolin Cream, the product used by nursing mothers when they get sore....

My thinking is that you should be ok with the .457 and a HB bullet. The purpose of a HB bullet is to expand the base to fit the barrel when the bullet is fired. .457 with PC should fit pretty good.

Actually it is as easy as contacting Mihec. I broke a hollow point pin and he sent me a new one with no questions asked. It was here a week after I sent him an email. He is a good man.

I size down Mihec's 460-122. I powder coat them then size to .457 and then resize to .452. They shoot very nice.

I might have fallen in love with my 7 1/2 inch Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull. I took a nice sized doe with it at a measured 140 yards this year. Used a 350 grain cast HP bullet PC'd and loaded to...

wlc .... If you are referring to MP's 460-122 HP mold .... yes you can do it. I've been doing it for several months and it is my favorite bullet in my Ruger. You have to seat it very deep to allow...

I had sent bosterr a PM but I'll go ahead and answer it publicly. I got the WC-820 from Mike at www.Mastercastbullets.net. He is located in Enon Valley PA. I'm pretty sure I got the last he had. He...

One more vote for the Dillon primer pocket swager. You can do a lot of cases in a relatively short period of time.

I don't know what some of you didn't "get, comprehend or understand". 29.0 gr H-110 with a 300 gr cast bullet is not an under loaded charge of powder. You post the data as it appears in commonly...
Made it to the range yesterday. Was shooting WC-820 with Rem 7 1/2 primers. No problems what so ever. 27.5 gr is listed as max for AA #9. Being that primers were seated with the RCBS hand priming...
