We have two 16" 300 blacks in the household. Both are Palmetto uppers. Both are dedicated to the Lee twins (powder coated 312-155 and 312-160s). Cheaper to load and shoot than 5.56.

Too small or too hard is always a problem.

That bullet cast from SOWW and powder coated comes out close to 270 grains and will penetrate completely through a whitetail at 900 fps out of my 5 1/2" Blackhawk. No need for 1300 fps.

The Lee handles fit my RCBS 2 cavity and both 1 and 2 cavity Lyman molds. They are not made of "pot metal" and I prefer them over my Lyman handles.
