I ran my AR with H335 (19.0) and a 62 grain gas checked boolit this last weekend.
Shot =/- 130 rounds at targets from 20 yards to 400 yards. Accuracy was not great but Icould get lead on target. ...

I believe you are correct all the way around on your observations. If I were to seat the boolit all the way to these crimp grooves my OAL would be stunningly short. I dont know that they would allow...

The water droplets are more worrisome in that they cooled the mold dramatically.
