Lead for every use. I like Miha's hp molds, and also NOE. I use 32acp, 9mm, 357, 44 spcl, 44 mag, 45 acp. I have used a lot of different styles from WC to RN to HP.
In 357 I have gone as...
McGivern shot a full power 38 wadcutter often one that was loaded on the range. I was always curious at what the load was, but was never able to find it. I do have his book...
I cast mine from range scrap BH around 12-14. I don't size, but lube them thru a star and fire them in either 9mm or 38 spl.
In 38 spl, I have loaded as soft as 3.1 grains of bullseye for a...

I, too, use the lee autodisk with double disks.

I use it in 45acp. Meters well, burns nice. Not as frugal as some other powders.
Always has been. Teaching by the cult of the personality. But still the number of good instructors is, I think, at an all time high. You still need to do your home work before selecting one.
Spend a little money and take a personal protection in the home class. There are so many good trainers these days!
Barring that buy a decent book on it from a reputable trainer and then take a...

The best advice has already been given....educate yourself. Other good...

I have a gp100 fixed sight 4" blue half lug - bought it the first year the gp100 came out. I have put probably 40,000 rounds downrange with her from powder puff to teeth rattling and everything in...

I have used 22.5 grains of 2400 with that weight boolit with quite good results. My go to boolit is however Saeco 315 for the M1a.
GLL is a member here with wonderful posts on the 38/44. Do a search on him or outdoorsmen and you will get tons of great reading material and loads.
I load a lot of 30-06 for my 15 yr old son. 90% of the loads have no filler, but are used simply for non match shooting time -- if he calls the shot good then the occasional flier doesn't bother us....

I have found that once you get the initial military primer out, using the rcbs can opener is very easy on subsequent primers with both cast boolit loads and full power jacketed loads.

It does in mine....I am shooting 311289 at around 2000 fps. I have up to 10 reloadings and fully expect to get at least another ten.
Trimmed after the first sizing, and then never trimmed again. ...

My pet load for my M1A of 21.5 grains of 2400 driving a saeco 315 will function the bolt fully on my FAL with excellent accuracy.
I also use an rcbs x-die to make reloading as painless as possible.

I would be worried that the brass might be too long. The 9mm blanks I have look long, and are crimped forward. Not sure if that is standard for all blanks.
Extreme caution is caused for.

The friendships & camaraderie I have experienced shooting at a club with roughly a $100 a year membership is by far a better deal than shooting on land for free (which I have also done).

Where does it say a boolit needs to be pretty? The holes it cuts are!
Thanks for clarifying who bought Ohaus.

I loaded up a dozen more and fed them thru my Ruger SR9 without a hitch – they all fed fine. Of course these boolits cut really nice holes. I am using a moderate load of Promo.
Definitely a fun...

Yes, they are very interesting -- my guess is they are a bullseye mould.
I have shot a dozen or so and will continue to work with them in 9mm. I probably could shoot them in 38/357 unsized.

Ok, here is a picture of this conical wad cutter for 9mm.

I loaded up a dozen under a moderate load of Promo and all but two fed into a CZ-75SA. The oal was set to fit the magazine. The CZ is my most demanding 9mm -- so I have high hopes for this round my...

I found one reference on the web that Ken Waters mentions it as a very accurate 9mm load with 4 grains of Red Dot in his Pet Loads book.
Can anyone confirm that? Many thanks.
