    I've shot many thousands of 38spl with Titegroup and never had any problems. I load on the low side of the published data with both 125 and 158gr bullets. No melting or leading that I've seen.

    I have some like that I have loaded and fired probably 10 times. It doesn't go away but doesn't seem to affect case life at all. I've never had one split where the cannelure is.

    Thanks for the replies. I think what I'll do is leave out the hardball alloy, and use the pure lead and stick-on WW to soften up the range lead, and get some solder to add a little more tin.
