It kind of has a musket look to it, you could leave it as is. What about adding a piece of wood, kind of like the two piece stocks on some of the Traditions long rifles?

I think average Joe's, Nathaniel's, Thomas', George's etc. were buying black powder in this Nation long before we were a Nation! Heck, I think they were even buying guns without a background check...

Pain in the backside, I know! The balls are close enough in size that you can easily mix them up! I went with conicals in my revolver so as not to confuse myself.

Thanks for the info. I loaded up a bunch of 440 gr cast bullets with 30 to 34 grains of the wc 820. I'll test it this weekend.

I have a Shaver for my Pedersoli Sharps, and it is a hoot to shoot. I also made my own reduced size silhouettes. It makes for good off-hand practice.

Has anyone tried WC820 in their 500 S&W ? I was wondering what kind of min. and max. charges you have tried for bullets in the 400 to 500 grain range.
