Casting and reloading were the only way for me to play with handgun metallic silhouettes.

Yep, east on hwy 167. My overall cartridge length for the 32-20 was 2" with the brass trimmed to 1.28" and the diameter at .309". The powder of choice was A1680.

RCBS 130 sp and 165 sil works in my AR pistol.

I used to shoot handgun metallic silhouettes. The TC 32-20 10" was my field pistol and big bore class gun. RCBS 165 sil and 200 sil can reach out and knock down 200m rams.

I water drop and do my sizing within 24 hours. With my setup, it gets a little tough to size after that.

The load I have waiting in the wings. Accurate 35-155P, 5 grs- BlueDot. Keeping my social distancing at this time. The range will still be out there.

I've been water-dropping since the early 80s. My mentor was a lead shop foreman at a copper mine. I learned a little bit about mixing alloys and where to place a water bucket when dropping.

Lube. Current favorite way to lube is two thin coats of BLL.
Forum: Boolit Lube !
Lube that's simple to blend and works. My current favorite is BLL.
Melted some lead. Alloy was (1)HB/(1)Pb, water dropped. As cast = 0.359", sized = 0.357", 2 coats - BLL. Next, burn up some Blue Dot.
All my RCBS molds fit the RCBS handle without alterations. Any Accurate molds I may get in the future now have handles that fit. Next, melt lead.
Yesterday I was going to melt some lead and breaking in a new mold. I found my RCBS handles didn't fit the Accurate mold pins. Today I went to Hartford - Titan Reloading. A very pleasant young lady...

TC44-14": 325 gr. fp, 22.6 gr. - 1680. Your mileage may vary.

2 lbs - beeswax/ 1lb vaseline + 1oz alox. I would get a lube star after the twentieth target (pig). I used to shoot in Phoenix and Tucson.
Forum: Boolit Lube !
When I lived in AZ: 2 parts beeswax/ one part vaseline, 1oz Lee's alox.

10" TC Contender 32/20, I used RCBS 130 SP to RCBS 210 SIL. My favorite handgun silhouette caliber for Field Pistol, Production and Standing classes.
18 grs., 1680, BHO on the last shot, COL = 1.93" - AR pistol.

I've been casting for about 35 years too. I seem to like touching shiny bullets. Especially when they're hot. Yeah, water dropping works for me.
