I've got the equipment (Corbin), but haven't made any yet.
I don't shoot to 1000, but will be using bullets I make at 100, 200 and maybe 300 in competition.
And, yes, they are better than...

I've used an A press, and I can tell you they're a lot more rugged than a Rock Chucker.

My big lathe is quite similar to this, and we've built a fair amount of competitive bench rest competition guns on it. Even turned stainless barrel blanks down to proper taper.
Of course, mine is...

Nice. I'm obviously going to have to ship AFTER the results, as I need the desired caliber of the brass.

I grew up using one like below. Seeing that I own the business, it's mine now. Still got to get it moved over here though.

Got a 7x12 Grizzly too, it is at my location.

Not even close to the 375 H&H.
The 38-55 and 32-40 are the predecessors of the 30-30. You can make 32-40 & 38-55 from 30-30. They may come up a little bit short, but work. Both are moderate...

Actually, I heard some Dems tried one that they punched Romney, but it came up Obama.
Now, that doesn't in any way prove who did it.
I figure some Dems did it, then showed it off, knowing it...

I've come to the conclusion he isn't in that position by accident. Same for Bush and Klinton, and maybe Bush1 (Cheney, Gore and Quayle). All 4 are bad, worse than their boss is.
I couldn't...

224 and 243 use .185 (3/16) lead wire. The core swage die (AKA, squirt die) bumps that a little. I think .190 is the right number. At worst, it's close.

Idaho, I quit wondering about that question long ago.
Gunowners are the far larger threat to owning a gun.
Obama? He's well on record as the greatest gun salesman of all time. A local shop...

Hee Hee, I'll let most of you in for some shocking info.
$1000 for a die set? That's pretty cheap, when you come down to it.
I know, you're thinking Nickle has gone nuts.
But, have I?

303, that is soooo true.
"Social networking" is an oxymoron.

That isn't too bad. Cheaper than the gas from here to Buffalo.

Yeah, we're a long ways away from the late 60's, when this was.
Guys like Harvey and Seeley (Masker) are long gone too.

303, thanks for that tidbit on Harvey Donaldson.
I knew the man, became somewhat friends with him. He was a fellow benchrest shooter, and experimenter. Great guy.
I met him at a BR shoot in...

Alex, I'm in the Middlebury area. I don't manufacture dies. But, if shipping is an issue, it might be much cheaper to have them shipped to someone in the US, then pick them up from them. All laws...

Fred, you're right. The major differences are cost and time. There's a few minor differences, but they are small, picky and not all that relevant usually.

EPA was after indoor ranges well before 2008. It seems there are problems with lead contamination and ventilation, in respect to meeting EPA requirements. So, it's not new, and not as simple as...

I use one of Dave Corbin's CSP-1 (S die press). Sure works a lot easier derimming and making bullets than the Rock Chucker.

Alex, if you were closer, I'd say ship them to me. I'm about 3 hours south of Montreal, south of the border.
Is there anybody here 2-3 hours from Toronto that's willing to do that?

I would first check to see if something is loose. If scoped, swap the scope out.
If all that fails, I would clean it with Sweet's 7.62 solvent, to get any copper fouling out of the bore.
All...

There's fast, cheap and good. You can get 2 out of 3, but not all 3.
Make your choices.
If I want reasonably cheap, I am set up to cast cores. As Fred mentioned, the way to go is to swage them...

After what I've seen on one of those vendors, on a thread here, I'd be careful and do my homework and check them out.
Outside that, I've been getting mine locally, or through reliable vendors. My...

Oh, I found the shortcut, and it works really well.
It's called making the core, and swaging it. When making bullets for serious work (accuracy, match shooting), I cut the cores from lead wire,...
