It is compatible with the RCBS Pro-Melt (not tested on the Pro-Melt II yet) and Lyman Mag25 pot. Just buy the Gen 2 Mould guide, and not the Lee adapter.

Yes, thanks for your input. Hard to fix problems if you don't know they exist. Took your suggestion for moving the set screws and made it an option to use them in the front or rear.
Forum: Casting Equipment
Yup, you are correct. I didn't have the problem of lead filling up the screw holes, but someone on artfulbullet.com did and recommended they be moved to the front or back so we made both options...

What doesn't work about the lyman one? I use it all the time with my mag25 pot. My friends do also.

Had several Lee Pro 4-20 casting pot users ask me to build a replacement mould guide/adapter for the Lee pot. Worked on it with NOE building and testing it out. They just finished the new mould...
Do you guys know if MGM can do 30 badger Encore barrels?

A quick tip for this would be to thread it in (upside down as shown) and then use a cheapy lee locking ring with the o-ring on the top side of the die (on the top of the press). That way, you can...
Hey guys, I recently ordered some rockdocks from Patmarlins.com and had a good experience. The universal mounting system seems to work well and hold the reloading equipment in nicely. Simple,...
Thanks! I'm going to try to load up the gas checked bullets and push them a little harder and probably in my .308 win.
Happy friday everybody! Had a chance to do some casting with the NOE 311-175-FN (saeco 315 clone), loaded em up, and let em fly. Here is a video showing the process: https://youtu.be/hWczFq4lTCU

The best way I've found is to store them inside a brass case with a little powder below it. :)
I always store mine ready to load.

I've just done a Dawn scrub and the heat cycles so far. I still need to pour some lead into the cavities. And yes, with that much lead, I am thinking a damp towel might be necessary to help keep...

A couple people requested that I post an instructional video on how to install the mold guide. Also added it to the OP for reference. Here it is:

Stainless would be awesome--but I'm not sure what it would cost to make it out of stainless. Most people probably wouldn't want to pay the increased cost for a nice shiny stainless guide, ha ha!

Ha ha, no prob. It was one of those mutually beneficial things that worked out good for everyone. I wanted something for me that was better than stacking those lead ingots--and figured if I wanted...

Yeah Lyman kinda messed up on that design. Not many people use just one brand of molds these days.

Thanks, it makes casting with both of those pots a bit nicer. I was ok with the rcbs mold guide, but the new shelf makes casting with the NOE rg molds a lot easier.

I have both the lyman mag 25 and rcbs pro-melt pots. Both are great, but the lyman mold guide is terrible "out of the box" and has to be replaced or modified.

NOE has a replacement mold guide for the MAG25 pot and Pro-Melt if you need one. http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=508&products_id=4587&osCsid=im9jl5uor2qnkgg8nnglpgg7b0

Take it out and shoot some clays and have some fun with it! You may be surprised how well you can shoot clays with it.
For those of you who have access to a place where you can shoot pistols/handguns out to 100 yards, you might be interested in this. My friend and I always have little duels or contests with our 500...

These are done and ready in at the NOE shop! Just ordered mine this morning and looking forward to picking them up at the shop. Looks like it will be a good bullet for .30-30, .308, and others.
