Looking forward to hearing about your results.

You can look at the slug data on the Hodgdon website. http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/shotgun
and also the lee VOLUME MEASURE DENSITY (VMD)
http://leeprecision.com/cgi-data/instruct/VMD.pdf...
As I said, I'm probably on mission impossible. But I will try, and after post the results here.
I'm probably on mission impossible, but at 100 yards a 6 inch group with two shots is all that I require.
Let her rip!
I may have to increase the powder to 35 grains.
Thank you
My personal goal for accuracy is M.O.D. (minute of deer) at 100 yards.
We will see.

In this case, the HS6 seems to burn "cleanish" with no blackened hull tips, however, I have found that HS6 tends to burn dirty on other loads that I have done.
Hodgdon Universal Clays burns much...
I have not had the opportunity to shoot this load at further than 50 yards, but I’m looking forward to doing so.
I wish you well with your RB loads and look forward to hearing about the results.
I should also mention that the RBs are cast from a LEE 90978 .690 Single Cavity Round Ball Mold and that I am using 100% lead.
Using load data from the hodgdon web site as pionts of referance, I can only estamate the velocity of the RB, as I do not own a chronograph.
I suspect the velocity is approximately 1350fps.

Thank you!
Above are some of the spent wads, see how nicely they have collapsed.
Thank you
I had to make sure to hold the forestock securely when at the bench to help prevent muzzle rise, which caused inaccuracies.

For me as a rookie boolit caster, soft or hard, if you you cant't place the bullet where it needs to go, it want matter to much where your bullet lies on the brunel scale.

The 357 takes up less space uses less powder and is simple to reload. Kills deer at 100 yards.
It's a no-brainer.
Dead is dead.

Waiting on powder.
Will be using the venerable 12 gauge shotgun, with some cast slugs and round balls that i am currently casting large pile of.
Or
I will be using the 30-06 with 180 grain...

357 or consider the 44 magnum, they are also very frugal on powder.
