I've not long finished making myself a rifle mould with one sprue hole in the centre, and the other right on the very edge, on purpose, to test this exact thing.
After around 200 rounds, shot on...

11-12 grains of Unique will work very well.

Craiger1987,
If you are using Bertram cases, one of the moulds with a reduced heel will probably work the best. The reduced heel designs were made to suit the thicker Bertram brass and still be able...
Myself, I have used an RMC brass case with a Win AA wad and I've also got a large quantity of ACTIV cases where I use a Gualandi wad.
No idea on pressures, but Graeme Wright's double rifle book has...
A lot of us in Australia use this load and powder, we are fairly limited relative to what you guys can get access to with powders.
Our load is 28 grains of AP-70N, a 7/8 oz plastic wad with petals...

Very interesting thread, thought I'd post my few comments on a recent test I completed.
I've also just completed a pretty mammoth trial of alloys vs. weight vs. diameter and came up with some...

Here's one of my Cadet's, this one is a 30-30 Wesson, and a very nice cartridge for a Martini.
Brass is easily made from 222 Rimmed, just blown out with a gentle taper.
You can make brass from 357...
Gentlemen,
I'm looking for some load data for a 530 grain Paradox style cast bullet in 2.75" 20 ga cases please.
Bullet diameter is .625" and and being fired from a fully rifled barrel on a big...

Been trying to get hold of Rick at KAL for the last 6 weeks or so, via his emails and also via PM from here.
No response at all in 6 weeks.
Does anyone know if Rick is OK? Or is he off guiding...

Jim Allison used to make this bullet for a couple of guys over here that had the 20 cal Sheridan air rifles. Believe it or not, he made these...

HeavyMetal,
Absolutely no apology needed at all, I took it in the spirit it was intended. Don't worry, I had to think about it for a while too, I didn't think a left handed mould was needed, but the...
Jeff, dunno about me leading the way, just responding to a need I guess?
Pretty easy to do, make a new sprue plate and change a couple of pins around, easy for my little one-man operation!
I seem...
We've got them over here too! The old Sportco barrels in various calibres were left hand twist.
Normally confuses people when they look down a barrel, when you tell them they are looking in the...
Actually, I am left handed, but because I have been casting for so long with a "right handed" mould, that's what I use.
We had a customer request asking for a left handed mould, so we made it, then...
I'll send them anywhere I can! I call them "Brass Hand Tools".
If you go to the new website, www.castbulletengineering.com.au and on the home page, select your country, then the whole website will...

We have been shooting it without the muzzle brake (with these loads, not full noise loads) as well, 'cause it's too loud otherwise!

There must be a few casting for it, I've got a couple of these to make over this weekend.
A friend of mine is using one from his 50 BMG at our local range, he's shooting them at about 1600 fps or...
I've got a 585 Nyati myself and shoot 900 grain cast bullets from it at around 1700 fps. I also shoot 750 grain Woodleighs at 2250 fps, the Woodleighs are much nicer to shoot than the cast bullets....
