Geez Brian, you still shooting that 40-08?
Still pruning trees with the 40-300?

6mm solids are perfectly legal, and available off the shelf from Barnes Stock # 24375
They are not "getting away with" anything. Just about any high velocity rifle bullet will go right...

Good to see you back Barry.
A little 1 in stroke press is great for blanking discs, trimming parts etc.
Keep it as is while you lean it's ways, you can always build a hydraulic press.

To add a little perspective to this, the Rifle magazine issue from 1972 about his work indicates he was only considering making carbide dies then. His work was tool steel at that point.
In 1972...

No such thing as perfectly good nine-sillymeter brass - until you mash it in to .451 bullets!

Sigh. Every freaking time.
There was no headspace issue with the 400 Whelen
The only head space issue was that people shortcut making some dies, and reduced the diameter of the cases at the...

Very nice.
How is the feeding with that bullet?

Thanks, but I would have to fuss with that load a lot - an adjustable gas 308 will shoot all kinds of stupid stuff. It will cycle Remington accelerators.
I need to get busy and make a vortex...

Yeah, that is my nighttime lead dispenser. 18" barrel, and barely 26" overall.
With the Gen III sight you can call a 'yote in & the only light is the muzzle flash.
The barrels are not all that...

A 308 case will not fit in an AR15. The AR10 series rifles are chambered in 308, so it would work there with a re-barrel.
Of course it will fit in a FAL magazine, so I might have to re-barrel...

So post up the unbiased, credible research.

And that right there is the problem. It is a "Crusade", and any crusade is simply an effort to subjugate or control someone else.
This was never a problem while we had lead in paint and gasoline....

OGOTZ:
Thanks for the update. Nice job on the research.
Sorry if that seemed abrupt, but the internet has spread misinformation far & wide. I have seen it hurt legitimate companies when...

Ah, the old "it will never headspace!" argument. Complete garbage.
You can headspace a rimless pistol cartridge on the mouth of the case. About a .010 step, with allowances for fit even less...

Looks a little big for PNW deer...
Are you planning an African trip this year Brian?
Nice shooting from a crappy spot.

You can probably jam a zinc core into a point form die with enough pressure...
But how are you going to eject it? The tiny pin that ejects the bullet from the die will not be up to that task.

E. Jordan Brookes is your best bet for Ca -210 strip for jackets. good folks to deal with.
If you are serious about making jacket dies, 50 lbs of strip is no big deal. You should already know...

The induction heaters available to the consumer will not heat brass. So the induction hot plate will not work for this.

Rick:
You must be running a Fanuc 6M. Go into parameters, and set your Jerk Magnet to "off", and this problem may go away.
Does not always work, but it is worth a try.

Try a couple of graphite electrodes that conform to the case for that neck anneal.
Bore a neck sized hole in a piece of graphite & cut it apart. Should be able to get good heating around the...
That is pretty entertaining. Too bad people that stupid manage to reproduce.
I started out reloading shotshells when plastic wads were in their infancy. Do any of you recall the "T wad"?

It is in fact one of the processes used to passivate the surface of the stainless to prevent corrosion.
