Had to quit hunting small game with 22 LR. I went to pellet rifles for hunting rabbits. No shortage of pellets.

Does anyone have any experience with this upgrade in Lyman or RCBS dies?
Are they really an improvement over the standard Lyman decapping rod assembly?

RWS 34 pellet rifle in 22 cal. Excellent trigger pull and accurate. The "budget" air rifles will work if you can get used to heavy and long trigger pulls. Magnum velocity rifles recoil more and can...

I usually use a garden hoe to dispatch rattlers in populated/highly traveled areas. They are pretty fragile. Standard handgun shot loads are effective with head shots. Don't let anyone get around...

Another vote for CH-4D. Great hand trimmer. Also, old Pacific durachrome dies and Redding beam scales.

Look for a deal on a used S&W 686. Stainless version of the 586.

For hand tools, a bone saw is best. But in a pinch, a sturdy metal bow handle type tree pruning saw will work.

My personal preference is for side box smokers. Best results from smoking with indirect heat... low and slow. Usually takes 8 to 10 hours for a turkey.

Just use sand in the bucket instead of kitty litter. Sand is plentiful here and free.

The short length and eye relief of the bug buster can make mounting difficult on a full size air rifle. Go with the full size leapers 3-9x40 or consider the Centerpoint 4-16x40. The Centerpoint is a...

Very convenient. Never received spam from PayPal. However, I have received fraudulent emails claiming to be from PayPal saying the account was suspended/closed. If in doubt, just go to your account...
Always in search of the perfect holster (I have a drawer full). You really need to try it on to see how it carries, how comfortable it is to wear all day and if it has good retention, yet not too...
The good ole' 6 shot S&W 686 is hard to beat. It's a stainless 586.

Drove 150 miles (one way) to my local Cabela's. No powder available for sale. Limited selection of bullets and primers.
Never had luck with recipes. Just takes time to wear off. If your dog gets sprayed (my dog attacked a skunk in the yard once), just make sure the nose and eyes are cleaned well.

Take a look at the Savage 11 Hog Hunter in .308. A lot of rifle for the money.

I have the nearly identical Weatherby Vanguard Ranchland Compact in .243. Nice light, compact accurate ranch rifle.

Like your idea how to draw some of the salt out of the corn beef before smoking.
You have to try the holster on with the pistol inside. I have a drawer full of holsters resulting from my attempt to find the perfect comfortable fit and retention.
