Some points to consider
1/ The barrel must be COMPLETELY clean of copper fouling (use C2R from the Shooting Shed).
2/ The boolits must be hard and durable BUT not too hard Suggest range lead/...

I cast my wadcutters with range lead cut with pure lead - equal amounts. I drop into water and size to .358" in a Star Lubesizer. The go through easily.

26gr Accurate 5744 in my 30-06AI is extremely accurate

BEWARE GM3 is hygroscopic and pressure varies as you get down the tub!

My Handi Rifle in 45/70 recoil sheared the scope rail screws AND the Gorilla glue. Anybody suggest a better method of securing the rail short of TIG welding it!

Hi Andre - I use a Corbin - best around!

I use NOE's 316299 sized to .315" in my SMLE No1 Mk3*. Excellent bullet. I use around 25gr Accurate 5744.
For plinking use a 115gr soupcan in .315 with 4 to 5gr of Viht 310.

I solved mine by buying an RCBS Pro Melt - a class act!

I cast mine from range lead (quite hard) and pure lead - 2/3 pure to 1/3 range. They work well in my Marlin underlever from 38 spl brass.
I use 3.2 gr of fast burning pistol powder but I expect...

Just to confuse the issue Accurate 5744 is now sold in the UK as Lovex D060.

I use it with the 180 to 190 grain boolits in .308 and 30-06 to very good effect.

I would have thought that the lead would be for setting metal posts in stone and therefore likely to be pure - but who knows!

I just got a G11 and the dies arrived today. I'll give the load a try with the NOE boolit.
