Jester a 22 benjamin is a better choice for something the size of a coon, but yet a 177 will do it. I've had model 342, 310, 347, and now a 317 and they've all taken coons, possums, barn cats etc....

5 % tin is wasting money. Tin is expensive in relation to lead. 2-3% tin is more than enough.

Look on the back end of the air tube just above your trigger hand when you're aiming the gun . there should be a model number. If its a pump and from 40s or 50s it is most likely a 312.
