Have always used a clip on light close to the 450's and all has been well. It is not as fast as some tell me the heater is, but if it works (which it does) and has other purposes as well (which it...

IMHO; the weight is great for the ACP. Makes fine duplicates of old hardball loads. In fact, a good cast at 230 -255 grains can go over 950 fps with careful loading. Search for John...

Thanks for your post. This has been interesting. The thing to remember is that each firearm does seem to be a law unto itself.

    Sorry; only one response.
For plain based .22 caliber (no GC applied) I have been stuck at about 1600-1650 fps. Shooting straight WW.

I remember a similar article, but I was thinking more recent - like only about 20 years ago. Anyway, the article I remember spoke of great long range accuracy with them. Something about small...

I really like the looks of this boolit. Might even consider a mould someday. However, would love this design but at about 260-265 grain weight with 50-50 WW+lead and another around the 240-245...

Maybe I can "shed a little light" on this subject. Try using a clip on trouble light and aim it at the body of the sizer/lubricator. Cheap and easy to use. Works great.

An old "re-make" for such .30-30's was to bore them out to a .35-30. This cartridge can be found in some older copies of Cartridges of the World and, I believe, Handbook for Shooters and Reloaders...
