Rabbit equivalent of venison back straps.....

Still cluttering up my shop, gonna have to build some more benches to stack stuff, running out of room.

A buddy used the first cousins to the Woodleigh .408 to whack an awesome Cape Buffalo
Somebody needs top shelf bullets.
And if you're SE Michigan or NW Ohio, we could do a FTF and you could...

357 dies didn't pan out. Bummer
But the 318 W-R, the 300 Win Mag and the Lee ram prime did:holysheep.
Still got the 357 dies.

I was buying bulk shot gun powder into the mid-90's here in SE Michigan. Red Dot and Green Dot.

Don't know your procedure, but I trim to length before annealing, the hard brass seems to cut cleaner.
I've seen a lot of guys doing the annealing then final trim to length.
Works for me.

I bought Red Dot and Green Dot out of a similar keg. The local guy upped the bags by going to double walled bags with the attached fold over wire closures. Grind your own coffee style bags. He was...

I have used both NuFinish car wax and Johnson's paste floor wax and could see no difference.
I have also completely disassembled the Redding powder measures I use, both a BR-3 and a 30BR. Cleaned...
And now for something completely different,
There are multiple 16 gauge loads listed for 4756.
Just sayin'.

I've got some of that surplus powder, cans with no zip code, which puts them pre-63. My understanding is the surplus powder lasted until the late 60's, early 70's. 4831, H380 and perhaps 4895.
If...

One's on it way, time to kill this thread.

Cast ~500 452460's with a Lyman 4 cavity mold. I forgot how heavy they can get after a hundred plus fills.
About two more casting sessions and I'll have enough boolits to last me a couple of years.

Try using your seater die to set the bullets in a little bit and break the bond that is holding the bullets in.
Then try the kinetic bullet puller.
And try using the correct shell holder in...

Now that it's been exhumed, I've had a request for a photo of the dies.
Here it be:

I think that will get the old Garand rattling again, PM inbound.
Thanks.

With the rummies I shoot with, those aren't "missed" shots, I've gone to road find 2" and wider woven load straps. They take an awesome number of hits before breaking.
Or I used baling wire for...

Archeological dig, had some PM interest in the 318 W-R.
Might as well drag everything thing else to the top.

Talk about thread hijack, this has got to be a prize winning hijack:hijack:
Sorry.
Forum: Swappin & Sellin
And the boomer powder and .408 dia Woodleigh's are still hanging around.
Just thought I'd note that if anybody was interested in my troubles.

223, 308 and 460 all SPF.
Still got other brass that needs a new home.

I believe some of his reproduction rifles end up in the Smithsonian to be used in displays. That was the story going around 50 years ago.

Brings back memories of fondling a real Lemat revolver in the 70's. Local metal stamping plant with a cool gun shop in front was run by a guy that to put it mildly, was a character. I had been in and...
