Just sold all my stash of lead today, 1800 pounds. I was quite surprised.
With 2 kids and the business, I don't even have time to shoot anymore, and even less for casting.
Trudeau is on it's way...

Oh that kind of explains why you can afford those tools ;) Because I have 2 smoke detectors in my house, so yours is probably 7 times larger or something.

I try to prime all I can on the dillon xl650. (9mm, 223).
Precision 308 gets reloaded on the forster co-ax, so I either prime with the lee ergo prime, or the lee safety prime on the single stage...

I don't use a powder check. Never had an issue in 5000 rounds.
I don't see a use for it. The measure drops the charge, I mean, it's there, period.

dillon/forster, even the lee dies without the oring work well...
Forum: Reloading Equipment
what I like with dillon is that nothing gets out of adjustment.
I have loaded close to 2000 rounds this week without re-adjusting anything. It just worked, always, all the time....

Gempro 250 is decent in that price range. Will eventually get a fx-120i but right now i dont have the money for that.
Forum: Reloading Equipment
I use the regular lee or dillon taper crimp dies and the work fine, I dont see any issue.

I load at least as fast as you do loading bullets in the die by hand. I put a bullet in the die when the handle is down, by the time the handle is up I have a bullet in my hand, and by the time the...

yup, should have bought the 1050, but I'm not taking a loss on the 650 to switch it for a 1050, and I don't reload enough to justify buying a 1050 now anyway. Maybe later in life if I shoot more.

Update:
The case works to stop the casefeeder. I do that.
To stop the primers, I just remove the plastic indexing ramp, takes 2 seconds.
The swage-it 650 doesnt swage much honestly. You still...

Hitek didnt work for me with the 9mm.

no, really, it could not.
its like saying that I could forget to remove my underwear before I shower.
Seriously, before you handle any gun, make sure it's clear, its not like you can just forget...

Dude come on, clear the pistol before you clean it... Jesus.
Forum: Cast Boolits
Mine works, follow directions.... Set to pistol and set proper offset.
Forum: Cast Boolits
maybe you missed the part where I was using a rifled barrel.
Forum: Cast Boolits
I shot 35 tonight to test, powdercoated, 357, in my rifled barrel.
For the first time, I went with the lab radar.
I though that they were slow, but they shot at 1100 FPS (3.9 HP38) 124RF
Not...

I might just sell the lead and stop, because really, I don't feel like hand picking bullets with tweezers to ESPC, then tweezer on a tray to cook, then all this for like 100 bullets, that's 10$,...

357 full of leading after 30 rounds also.
Only thing left is to try 357 powdercoated. I am really starting to wonder if this is all worth it considering the time and effort required to cast and PC...
Forum: Boolit Lube !
Whats the best , less leading, most accurate, and least messy lube for 9mm?
Bac or carnauba red? Cant decide what to order.

Couldnt translate "dropbear". Man that thing looks scary.

I don't see a need for the lee pistol FCD. The last 1000 rounds that I have reloaded without it were fine.
I use a regular taper crimp die.
I don't want my loaded rounds to go through a carbide...
