By powder coating you are talking about Moly or Graphite or? I am a pretty simple guy and not sure if I will ever have the need to coat my bullets with anything besides lube. Thanks

I agree with Lead Pot. For a Front stuffer I would go for the bore diameter. A soft lead bullet should fill the grooves with the patching. Just stick with pure lead.

I too am primarily a hunter. I have always hunted with heavier rifles than the light mountain rifles that seem to be the norm today. So lugging a 10# rifle into the high country isn't a huge deal...

my two go to Lever guns are my Winchester mod 71 in 348 and my Savage 99 in 300...the 348 will knock down an elk out to 150yds and my 300 will do the same out past 250 with no problem...shot...
