Well, I ordered an extra seater plug. I'll cut it back to where I can then drill/tap for a 1/8-32 bolt to go in then loctite it in place. Then do the same with the 7075 seater nose "bank" I will make...

Does anyone know what the comparable machine screw would be that fits the RCBS dies for 357/38?
I am thinking of making a few custom ones on the lathe. Then use JBWeld to make an epoxy filled base...

Just ... dont' ... yuck!
Well, I nearly ruined a lee bottom pour 10lb pot and all but made a complete mess of my casting bench.

I love my jap-win 1886 takedown. Its 45-90 and brutally accurate with both black powder and smokeless loads.
It took a whole summer of trial and error to find both those loads that work best, but,...

+1 for going with a Marlin 45-70 over 454 for a levergun.
Three main reasons I sold my Rossi 454.
- OAL for the 454 is pretty finicky on the Rossi
- 45-70 has more bullet options on weights
-...

If you are going to load with a crimp groove, you need to know the length of brass you will be using with your chamber. Get a chamber cast before buying a bullet with a crimp groove!!!
