i use printer paper adhesive labels and they seems to be 0.009 per each wrap around. I think I would use cigarette rolling paper if i wanted something thinner. Maybe some sugar water to make it stick.

The newer Lee molds seem to be inconsistent quality and are for low number count casting, meaning, they seem to wear out pretty quick. If I was gonna cast more than 1000 projectiles I would consider...

HS6 is what I can easily get and works in many cartridges.

The drill definitely tears at the aluminum mold. Oil the bit and keep removing the aluminum chips frequently.

If I drilled the tip with a couple if decending bits might get a staggered tip. Might could use these lead projectiles to "fire" shoot lap a barrel?

So, tried to cast 6mm bullets from a modified Lee 9mm mold. Drilled in between the 9mm holes with a 15/64 bit. Moved the sprue cutter. Didn't do a very good job, but, done well it might work. 219604

Welcome,
I second the idea of casting and reloading for a revolver. Seems a lot easier to me, more forgiving. I have cast and loaded 9mm but I am getting away from it. I prefer the 38 and 44...

Thanks guys,

Here's that modified .308 mold up to the driving band of about .337 by using a 8.6 mm drill bit to fatten up the mold.

Yes sir, no BATF rule breaking. I was just thinking about making a cartridge that could be used in a 10 inch pistol, if it could morph into that one day.

Hi,
I was keeping the insert removable. I didn't know about the stub technique. I am trying to make a personalized cartridge, and I was using the shotgun insert as a means to get there. It seems to...

Hi y'all,
What I had in mind was something along the lines of taking a 357 Remington max and necking it to .337 lead bullets for starters. Maybe get a 175 grain bullet going 1500 to 1900 fps. So far...
