25gr 5744 and no fillers should get you right at 1,360fps out of that cowboy's 26 inch tube with the Lee 405, this would be considered a more traditional load mabey some would say a cowboy load would...

at least in colder temps, in alaska I will only use a magnum primer with 110/296

my understanding is that 2400 works ignites fine with a standard primer and but using a standard primer with h110/296 is a good way to stick a boolit in your bore

GrayFox, try a standard primer and start with 28.5gr of aac 5744 and work up from there to a max 36gr. x 2 on the ww happy trigger.
