Light recoil while still maintaining a lethal/expanding deer round, yes. My other option is expanding subsonic rounds, but they’re $1/bullet and I wanted to use cast.

Ha. 45/70, these are intended for subsonic loads through my suppressed Contender :) With 12.5 gr of Vectan GM3, they do right at 1060 fps, and really hit hard at 100 yds.

Haven’t loaded the Powdura, but the HF has worked for me at least at the subsonic velocities I’ve tried.

I’m sure his is great, but I’m not worried about looks. As long as they shoot good and don’t lead, I’m happy!
