Sounds like a nice gift that'll keep on giving.

Very interesting discussion. Thanks relics, for sharing that.

I'll guess that the bearing length will be sufficient that you'll have good accuracy regardless.

It is a nice looking bullet. RCBS moulds cast beautifully. I wasn't familiar with it, thanks.

If you're .001 small, don't do anything until you try shooting some sized the diameter you want, as the gas check will be that diameter.

I've occasionally had this issue but inconsistently enough that I haven't investigated it. I'd actually forgot about it until I saw this thread.
Thanks. I hadn't seen that article.

I hear tell the new Marlins will cycle the Keith bullet in 44 Magnum brass, so you should be able to get about anything you need to cycle with a usable OAL like that.

It's called spot frosting. It happens when the mould is right at frost temperature, and the thinner portions get over frost temperature. It can happen there at the thin portion between the cavity and...

They eat pretty good. I've made them on the grill and BBQed.

Wow! I've never seen pictures of any before, thank you for sharing.
I forgot that a small amount of zinc will alloy with lead. Thanks.

I use a Lyman ram prime. I used a Lee ram primer for a while, but I was having primers seated crooked.
The Lyman wasn't perfect out of the box, but after I tuned it, it does excellent work.

Awesome condition, thank you for sharing. That thing in the center is a primer, correct?
Thanks Relics for sharing your information.

Might be for the 358431. It's Keith's HB version of the 358429.
I agree with the above. I've not seen a 357 Devastator, only the 356637.

I noticed a mistake in the article. They stated that Cramer was bought by RCBS, when in fact they were bought by SAECO.
Interesting. My first thoughts is that you have a speck of lead between the sprue plate and blocks, near the pivot (in a manner you cannot see it when inspecting) that is intermittently melting and...

I had not seen that before, thank you for sharing.

The Lee universal expander, like said, is a taper die, not a true expander. It is not powder through. Some of the NOE plugs are powder through some are not.
For short cartridge cases, you use 2...
I am only 40, but I can't take a full diet of the heavy stuff without hand issues, so I don't force it. I mostly shoot 44 Special level loads.
I do enjoy full power 357 Magnum loads, and in the...

From what I can tell it's pretty neat. Sure it defeats the purpose, but you can always convert it back if you still have the parts.

I have a praise report, I got the Tracker on the road! I've had a little bit of a frustrating time. I still have some minor things to do, but God has blessed me to be able to get all the problems...
Thanks for all the information shared here. I've not got a wadcutter bullet for 44, but I've always wanted to get one.

Same rim and case head as 30-30, but it is a tapered straight walled case, whereas the 35/30-30 is a bottle necked case.
I'd like to have one to tinker with, but since factory ammo is loaded at...
