I'll put in my vote for using a PID, I'm using a Lee pot and it has really helped me control the temp a lot better.
I bought mine from OBIII and has worked flawless.

I just jumped in to the 300 blackout game, have been using Lee dies.
The Lee dies have been working good.
I do miss the bullet guide on the Hornady seating dies, but for the price I can live...

I certainly will let you know, I have to get past my busy time, then I'll have more time to try the mod.
Did add some weight to the handle and that made a big difference in the dripping on my Lee...

The only thing that was pewter was the handle on the top,
The rest was not use able.
Not worth the trouble unless it was free.
