I have formed a few of these by just running once fired 30 carbine cases into an RCBS 5.7 Johnson die using sizing wax.

Herters also made a similar die and its usually cheaper then the Vickerman and RCBS. They pop up on ebay every now and then. Herters Automatic reloading dies.

It was the crimp when I was having that problem. I had to get a Lee FCD. My redding dies would would do that if I seated and crimped at the same time.

Does it say what county it was made? Fowler will put there name on anything from high end to china junk.

fired 9 times

8th time today with 45gr of 4064 and a 168gr bullet. Recoil seemed to be more then usual but the cases held up and are already loaded and ready to go again.

7th was last night and already primed and ready to go again. No signs of failure. They went across the Chronograph at 2501 and 2526. Im not sure if im pushing then very hard but thats a 168gr bullet...

I forgot to check for head separation but primer pockets still feel great and no splits.
