Sometimes warming the boolits a little helps. I've even got Harbor Freight red to coat pretty well if I warm the boolits up a little with a light bulb

Sometimes lead will get in the vent lines if the lead is going in too fast. Slow your pour a little. A half turn on the adjustment screw will make a big difference.

You got some really good info here. CharGar has the ultimate solution, and fc60's method works very well if your sprue plate doesn't cut clean.

I've also had great success with powder coated boolits in a Shield EZ 30 SC. No leading and good accuracy. I think you need a slower powder. I've gotten the Saeco 95gr rn and RCBS 90gr cowboy boolit...

Lee 401-175 TC has worked really well for me. MP's 402-165 TC HP mold has been very accurate for me as well.

I've shot ALOT of lead in the 9mm. Everything from CZ75 (tight chamber & barrel) to Beretta 92 (needs .358-.359).
The two things that helped me the most were switching to the NOE case expanders....

Don't know what you're shooting them in, but I think it's designed that way for a typical short throat in a 9mm. I bet that will shoot well.
And cut nice clean holes!

I have noticed the same thing as Larry with the 6 cav Lee's. That long sprue plate will bow in the middle.
Opening the notch where it contacts the stop pin seems to help that some. Like the plate...

I have both, a Browning HI Power and a CZ75. The CZ is noticeably more accurate than the Browning at 25yds.
