Well I guess you were right Prickett, the bullets just needed more time to harden. I took some of the same ammo that I loaded 3 weeks ago and tried them again and this time they grouped just as...

Pickett, the HI-TEK bullets are 5 or 6 months old, while the PC bullets I shot the same day I cast them. Do you think that could make a big difference in accuracy?

Yes, shooting off a bench with sandbags at 25 yards.

I'll try water dropping them after the oven cure and see if that helps.

I'll try and take some pictures, but I'm sizing after the PC. I'll try a different gun, maybe that gun just doesn't like PC for some reason.

I did find that the bullets were much softer after...
  5. Anyone else getting poor accuracy with PC bullets

I tried the tumbled on powder coated bullets and they coated well, looked good, didn't lead at all, but shot very poorly.

I am getting groups of about 3" - 4" at 25 yards, and the exact same...

I would like to get on the list for the WW lead also. I could use 3 or 4 boxes.
I used up the last batch I bought from you. It shot great.

With the lighter bullets you can keep the velocity up but still have light recoil. Also, you get more bullets per pound of lead with the lighter bullets, which is nice if you shoot alot.

    Star sizer w/Hornady bullet feeder?

I was just curious if anyone has tried to hook a Hornady bullet feeder up to the Star lubrizier. Just thought it might be a cheaper alternative to the MA bullet colater that Magma sells.

I had a similar problem on guns I was building for IPSC. What I am doing is reaming the chamber with a standard .40 chamber reamer and then using a .403 throating reamer I bought from Mason.

Reject bullets shoot just as good!!

I decided to do a test just to see how bad my rejected bullets would shoot.

I loaded up a bunch of 9mm bullets that had wrinkles, dents rounded off bases, etc. (these were some bad looking...

I tried Rooster Jacket over LLA and it worked well for me. It definitely made the bullets less sticky than straight LLA. That is what I used until I got a star sizer.
