Found this coal stove out in the barn. It is complete enough to use in the garage. As you can see it is a bit rusty. In the past I have use stove polish, which I think is mostly graphite. I was...

Great job! Amazing how a picky eater changes when he gets outside and moves around.
Be honest, who really had the most fun? Keep up the good work and keep updating us.
If the decision is for a handgun that will be used solely for home defense, I would recommend a used model 10 Smith. There are police trade in guns around that have worn finish but are still tight...
If the firearm in question is to be used solely for home defense, does it have to be a handgun? How much time does the person want to put in to gain skills with the gun? Do they have physical...

I push plain base acww boolits to 1400 in .44 mag with zero leading. Fit is king.

Not that particular mold, but I have shot a bunch of .30 cal boolis says gas check over small charges of fast powder. Worked fine. Check the older Lyman manuals for data.

Great job. Look forward to more reports on upcoming adventures. Maybe a youth size air rifle that you keep at your place for him to use under close supervision?

This month's Handloader magazine has 200 loads tested in .44 magnum rifles. Mostly jacketed but some cast.

Can someone tell me how to edit the signature line in my profile? It looks like one can edit most of their profile but I can't figure out how to change the signature. Thanks.

I have never shot a bear or a Cape Buffalo. Sixshot has. These were all acww 265rnfp at right at 1400 fps. The non gascheck version of the Lyman Devestator. The Kudu was finished by the PH with a...

Any Ruger. 44 mag that I own is either a Bisley or has Hogues on it. The only change I would make to the Hogues is to eliminate the finger grooves, but theybwork ok with them.
I think Ruger's new cylinder boring machinery has done a lot to produce uniform throats. That still leaves the issue of thread choke and overall build quality. I have seen recent production Rugers...
